Community agreement

A useful, public space for learning together

These terms are the ground rules for posts, replies, reactions, photos, and other contributions to the VA Starter Hub community. By taking part, you agree to follow them.

Effective July 14, 2026 · Community participation is 18+

At a glance

Four rules to remember

01

Be 18 or older

You must be at least 18 to create an account, post, reply, react, or otherwise take part in the community.

02

Keep it useful

Share practical questions, experience, and encouragement that help people learn virtual assistant work.

03

Protect people

Do not share private, identifying, confidential, or client information without clear permission.

04

No job pitches

This is a learning community, not a hiring board, recruiting channel, or place to solicit work.

01

Who can participate

You must be at least 18 years old and able to agree to these terms. You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Choose a public identity that does not impersonate or mislead people about who you are.

The community is for learning, exchanging practical experience, and helping aspiring virtual assistants. It is not an employment service, recruiter, staffing agency, or guarantee of work, clients, income, or business results.

02

No hiring, recruiting, or job solicitations

Do not post or send hiring offers, job advertisements, recruiting messages, requests for applicants, unpaid trial-work requests, or invitations to move a hiring conversation off the site. Do not solicit members for services, clients, referrals, investments, commissions, affiliate programs, courses, agencies, multi-level marketing, or lead lists.

You may discuss how hiring platforms and client searches work in an educational way. The line is simple: explain the process, but do not use the community to recruit, hire, pitch, or collect candidates.

03

Safety and respect

Do not post, link to, encourage, or coordinate:

  • scams, fraud, phishing, malware, fake opportunities, or deceptive money-making claims;
  • harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, hate, sexual exploitation, or unwanted sexual content;
  • doxxing or another person's private contact, location, identity, financial, account, or family information;
  • spam, manipulation of reactions, coordinated disruption, or attempts to evade a restriction;
  • illegal activity or conduct that puts another person, account, device, or business at risk.

Disagreement is welcome. Personal attacks and pressure are not.

04

Content you may share

Share only content you created or have the right to use. Do not publish client files, briefs, messages, credentials, internal processes, personal data, work product, or other confidential material unless every affected person or organization has clearly authorized that public use.

Do not copy articles, courses, templates, portfolio pieces, images, logos, software, or other copyrighted or trademarked material in a way that violates the owner's rights. Giving credit does not replace permission. Short quotations may be lawful in some places, but you are responsible for making sure your use is allowed.

05

Photos require care and consent

You must have the right to upload every photo and the informed permission of each identifiable person in it. Never post a photo of a child, a private document, a screen containing client or account information, or an image that reveals someone's location or other sensitive details without clear authority to do so.

We may strip photo metadata where our tools support it, but you should not rely on that. Remove sensitive metadata and inspect the full image, background, and reflections before uploading. See our Privacy Policy for more about photo data.

06

Your contributions are public

Your chosen public identity, posts, replies, photos, reaction counts, and activity dates may be visible to anyone, including people who are not signed in. Search engines may index community pages. Other people may link to, quote, screenshot, or save public contributions.

Think before posting. Deleting something from VA Starter Hub may not remove copies already cached by search engines or saved by other people. Our handling of account, report, and moderation information is explained in the Privacy Policy.

07

Permission to display your contributions

You keep any ownership rights you have in your contributions. When you submit content, you give VA Starter Hub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license limited to hosting, storing, reproducing, formatting, and publicly displaying that content as needed to operate and make the community available.

This permission lets us do practical things such as create image sizes, show a reply in its conversation, and include public pages in site search. It does not transfer ownership of your work to us. The license ends when your content is deleted from our active systems, except for reasonable backup periods and copies retained for legitimate moderation, safety, dispute, or legal reasons.

08

Moderation and account restrictions

We may review, label, limit visibility of, lock, or remove content. We may warn a member; restrict posting, replying, reacting, uploading, or messaging; suspend or close an account; preserve relevant records; and refer serious matters to a service provider or authority.

We can take these steps when we reasonably believe content or conduct breaks these terms, creates risk, interferes with the service, exposes us or others to legal liability, or is otherwise harmful to the community. We decide how to apply these terms in context and may act without advance notice when speed matters for safety or security. We are not required to host any contribution forever or to monitor every contribution before it appears.

09

Report concerns, do not escalate them

Use the available report control or email hello@vastarterhub.com. Include a link or enough detail to find the content and explain the concern. Do not repost harmful material, organize retaliation, or make knowingly false reports.

Reports are reviewed in context. A report does not guarantee a particular outcome, but we may keep a limited record of it and the resulting action for consistency, appeals, abuse prevention, safety, and legal compliance.

10

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the community and its tools change. We will post the new effective date here and give reasonable notice of material changes when appropriate. Continuing to participate after updated terms take effect means you agree to them.

Questions about these terms or a moderation decision can be sent to hello@vastarterhub.com.
