VA Starter Hub explains how to choose a first VA service, practice it, find legitimate clients and get paid. We write first for beginners in the Philippines, and also publish country guides for India, Kenya and Nigeria.

Who it's for
Beginners, especially people working with a budget laptop, an unreliable connection or limited time: parents, students, OFWs and office or call-center workers looking at a different path. If you have handled email, schedules, customers or spreadsheets in any job, you already have something to build on.
The founder
Marco Espela, Founder
Marco's path into remote work began in legal operations. For more than eight years, he has worked alongside solo and boutique law firms, including more than five years working entirely online.
Working remotely at that level taught him that clients are not looking for someone who knows every tool on day one. They need someone who can understand the work, ask the right questions, protect sensitive information, communicate without being chased, and follow through. Those habits are what make a virtual professional dependable, and they can be learned.
Marco created VA Starter Hub to make that learning process less confusing.
What we do and do not do
We teach and explain. We do not hire VAs, recruit for clients or charge for job placement, and nobody can buy a job through us. If someone contacts you claiming to hire on behalf of VA Starter Hub, it is not us. A guide can help you prepare, but it cannot promise a client, an income or approval from a work platform.
How the site is funded
Guides are free to read and do not require an account. The site is supported by advertising. If we ever use an affiliate link or publish sponsored content, it will be labeled where it appears, and it does not change what we recommend.
How guides are checked
Fees, limits and rules are checked against the provider's own pricing or help pages, or the relevant government source, and stated with the month we checked them. Each guide shows its last-updated date and lists its sources. When a reader reports an error, we check it against the source, correct the guide and update the date.
