About VA Starter Hub
A calmer place to learn how VA work really works.
VA Starter Hub is for the person with twelve open tabs who still does not know what to do first. We started with the questions beginners in the Philippines ask, but most of the guides are useful wherever you live.
Why this exists
Learning about VA work can feel harder than the work itself. Advice is scattered across platform help pages, videos, sales funnels, and community posts. Important details about fees or account rules can also change without much warning.
This site brings the useful parts together: step-by-step guides, practice exercises, sample messages, setup advice, and plain-English explanations of services such as Wise, Payoneer, Upwork, and OnlineJobs.ph. When a rule or price can change, we point you to the provider's current information.
Who it's for
Complete beginners, especially people working with a budget laptop, an imperfect internet connection, or limited time. You may be a parent, student, OFW, career-switcher, or office worker exploring a different path. You are welcome here even if you have never called your previous experience "virtual assistant work."

From the founder
Marco Espela, Founder
Marco's path into remote work began in legal operations. For more than eight years, he has worked alongside solo and boutique law firms, including more than five years working entirely online.
Working remotely at that level taught him that clients are not looking for someone who knows every tool on day one. They need someone who can understand the work, ask the right questions, protect sensitive information, communicate without being chased, and follow through. Those habits are what make a virtual professional dependable, and they can be learned.
Marco created VA Starter Hub to make that learning process less confusing. He knows what it is like to build trust from a distance, adapt to unfamiliar tools, and prove that you can handle real responsibility. This site turns those lessons into practical guidance for people who are just beginning their own virtual-work journey.
What to expect from us
We teach and explain; we do not place people in jobs. A guide can help you prepare, but it cannot promise a client, an income, or approval from a work platform. We would rather show you a useful process you can repeat than sell you a shortcut that does not exist.
Why it's free
The guide library is open to read. The site may be supported by ads and clearly labelled recommendations. That support helps us review older guides, maintain the tools, and keep the beginner roadmap available without putting it behind a course.
