Community Guidelines

Useful, respectful, and safe

VA Starter Hub is a practical learning community for adults. These guidelines protect members while keeping questions and answers genuinely useful.

Adults only

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or participate. Community posts are public when published, so write with a public audience in mind.

Protect privacy and safety

Do not share passwords, one-time codes, financial account details, government IDs, private addresses, phone numbers, personal email addresses, signatures, browser sessions, or other sensitive information. Remove client names, account data, and identifying details from screenshots and examples.

Never dox another person or encourage anyone to locate, contact, threaten, or expose them. If a situation may involve immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service or trusted authority instead of relying on a community reply.

No hiring or recruiting

This community is a learning and resource center, not a job board or talent marketplace. Do not post vacancies, recruit members, request applications, collect resumes, offer paid work, solicit unpaid trials, promote referral schemes, or move members into private hiring conversations.

Do not ask members to pay for access to a job, training, equipment, credentials, withdrawals, or recruitment. Scam attempts, impersonation, misleading income claims, phishing links, and requests to move money or receive packages are prohibited.

Challenge ideas without attacking people

Harassment, threats, stalking, sexual content directed at members, slurs, degrading remarks, and targeted intimidation are not allowed. Disagreement is welcome when it stays specific, evidence-aware, and respectful.

Do not repeatedly contact a member who has asked you to stop. Do not use the community to coordinate pile-ons or retaliation.

Share only what you may share

Do not post confidential client material, private workplace messages, paid course content, copyrighted templates, personal records, or other material you do not have permission to publish. Short descriptions in your own words are usually more useful and safer than copied content.

Only upload photos or screenshots you created or have permission to share. Everyone recognizable in a photo must have agreed to its public use. Add accurate alt text that communicates the image’s useful information, and remove location, account, and identity details before upload.

Report concerns privately

Logged-in members can use the Report control on a topic or reply. Choose the closest reason and add only the context moderators need. Reports are confidential: the community does not reveal who submitted them.

Do not confront suspected scammers or repost harmful material to warn others. Report it, preserve any evidence outside the public thread, and stop contact. Moderators may hide content, lock discussions, restrict capabilities, or suspend accounts when needed to protect the community.

Before you post

  • Remove private and confidential information.
  • Check that the topic belongs in the learning community, not a hiring channel.
  • Use a clear title, enough context, and links you trust.
  • Describe images and confirm consent.
  • Report safety concerns instead of escalating them publicly.
